Stomp Red Bank Theatre reviews
Chelsea unfortunately wasn't worth the wait
"I watch Stomp and LOVE it! I have read all of her books. I bought the tickets for this show 8 months before in March. We paid $80 apiece for tickets. When the night came for the show, we were all so excited. Then we get to our seats and WAIT. And WAIT. And WAIT. The opening act, Chris Franjola, was supposed to start at 8:00, but he didn't come on stage until about 8:30. He was very funny as was Chelsea, but I cannot see any reason for making us all wait an extra half an hour when we've already waited 8 months!! Neither comedian mentioned their "fashionable lateness". Chelsea came on stage at about 9:00 or so. She was very funny, as always, but was DONE by 9:45 or so. She left the stage so abruptly that many people were like, "HUH?". The only thing that keyed us in on the show being over was that she said she'd be signing books in a few minutes. I was very surprised and definitely disappointed- VERY disappointed- as I had been waiting for this show for EIGHT MONTHS. Boo Chelsea. I don't know what your problem was, but you did St. Louis wrong!"
